for Tippy Taps Mobile Pet Services

Thank you for choosing Tippy Taps Mobile Pets Services! We are happy to provide your pet with an easy and professional grooming experience. In the remainder of this form the “Client” is referencing the human client that owns the pet and is responsible for completing payment at the time of service. “The pet” will reference any and all pets owned or cared for by the client. The term “service provider" will reference all Tippy Taps employees and contractors.

A. INTRODUCTION TO OUR SERVICES

Here at Tippy Taps, we saw a need to provide a mobile solution for pet owners in the mundane grooming tasks that we undertake as pet owners. We pride ourselves in the expedient, compassionate and professional service that we provide.

We do not provide other grooming services such as bathing, haircuts or ear cleanings. If there are any questions, please call or ask your service provider at time of service.

A loyalty and referral program will be available. You will receive a punch card for each pet at your first visit. We understand how important your pets are and we see a referral as a lovely compliment! Be sure to tell anyone you refer to us to enter your name in their registration and you will receive $5 off your next service with a successful booking (rules apply for multiple referrals*) and the person you referred will get 10% off their first booked service.

*For each successful referral booking, you get $5 off a service. If for example you refer 5 friends and they all book services, you would get a $25 credit to your account. There is a maximum of $10 off per service from referral discounts, so referral credit may have to be used over several service bookings. The referral discount is once per client, and there aren’t multiple discounts if the referred client has multiple pets. Referral credits may only go towards services and are not available to “cash out”. Your referrals and discounts will be kept track of by Tippy Taps. B. USING OUR SERVICES

While trimming your pets’ nails, we do everything to avoid making the nail bleed. There is, however, a blood vessel that runs in the center of the nail commonly referred to as the “quick”. The quick comes in different lengths from pet to pet and even nail to nail, and nail color can vary as well. It can sometimes be difficult to identify where the quick is in relation to the end of the nail. All our service providers do their best to trim your pets’ nails as short as possible for maximum value without cutting the quick of your beloved pet. However, because of the nature of nail trims, pet cooperation and human error, the service provider may accidently cut the quick of your pet. This occurrence can be painful in the immediate short term, but should have no lasting negative effect on the pet and will be good as new in no time. Quick-stop powder will be available to stop the bleeding, and this works very effectively.

Please note, nails can be sharp for a few days after trimming until normal wear and tear smooths the edges out.

Anal glands are the scent glands next to the anus. Some pets can “express” these on their own when they defecate but other pets need a little help. Please note there could be a fishy or malodorous scent that lingers for 1-2 days, and your pet may lick their rear end or drag their rear on the ground after. The pet will be cleaned as best as possible after expression so hopefully this will be minimal, but some pets have a more potent odor then others and may need a bath after the service is complete, especially if they have long hair that the debris could get caught in. 

When expressing anal glands, sometimes abnormalities can be found. If the anal gland appears infected, too impacted or abscessed, your pet will not receive the service and will be recommended to make an appointment with your veterinarian. Sometimes, though much less common, there can also be a mass felt within the anal sac. Again, service will not be done and an appointment recommended with your veterinarian, as this could be a sign of cancer.

Service providers reserve the right to muzzle or place an e-collar on any pet to ensure their safety. For some pets, a towel may be wrapped around the body or over the head for protection as well. Should the client refuse to allow a service provider to use protective measures on the pet when indicated, the service agreement will be terminated immediately and a service termination fee amounting to half of the scheduled services fee will be charged. Safety is a top priority and we assure you that a towel, muzzle or e-collar will not hurt your pet and will only be used if the professional deems necessary.

Clients are required to stay with their pet at all times during the performance of services. Clients may be asked to assist a service provider in restraining a pet during services. If a service provider is unable to safely execute any or all scheduled services due to a pet’s unwillingness to be serviced, or due to client refusal for safety measures such as a muzzle, $10 service fee will still be required for the scheduled service and time taken out of the schedule.

Should your pet be too anxious or aggressive for service to be completed, it may be recommended that you ask your veterinarian for oral sedatives to try again at a later date. Please discuss with the provider for more details about this recommendation.

Our service providers reserve the right to terminate service at any time for any reason. Any verbal abuse or aggressive behavior from the client towards a service provider will result in the immediate and permanent termination of your account. We will show nothing but kindness and respect for you and your pets, and we expect the same behavior in return.

The client accepts all risks to the pet during any services scheduled.

C. PAYMENTS

All payments electronically or in cash are due upon completion of services. Payment plans are not offered at this time.

Payments made via PayPal, venmo or credit/debit will have a small service fee associated.

Travel and state tax are included in the cost of service.


D. CANCELLATION POLICY

We understand life happens. If you cancel more than 12 hours before your scheduled service, there is no cancellation fee. Cancellation 4 to 12 hours before your scheduled service results in a 25% fee of the total booked services. Canceling 4 hours or left less before your scheduled service results in a 50% fee of the total booked service. If we've shown up to your house and you don't answer when we arrive, 100% of the total booked service will be charged.Thank you for your understanding.  Please reach out with any questions about this policy.

E. PRIVACY AGREEMENT

The Tippy Taps team understands and respects your privacy. Your contact information and location will never be disclosed to anyone. We will, however, collect data and generate a profile for your account to document service, notes and the behavior of your pets for company use.

We ask your permission to allow Tippy Taps to use any media and comments collected by a service provider for use on all Tippy Taps controlled websites or apps.
